HOTEL ESTALAGEM DA PATEIRA
With a unique surrounding, what will stand out during your stay will be the calm and
the serenity that is breathed here.
Founded in August 1962, the company started its activity with a small restaurant. The restaurant was demolished in 1971 to give way to the first phase of the Hotel, with only 14 rooms. In 1991, its expansion began quadrupling the service areas and number of rooms (with a total of 57 rooms).
The hotel is implanted on Pateira’s west bank – A Lagoa Adormecida* at Vila de Fermentelos. Fed by the small river Cértima, this is the largest natural lagoon in the Iberian Peninsula, with a surface of 529 hectares.
In days gone by, it was a private natural reserve of the King Manuel I, with the designation of "Pateira" due to the large amount of ducks in it. Remarkably rich in flora and fauna and home to important species of fish and birds.
This space makes you go back in time and relive the 70’s and 80’s, due to its atmosphere, decor and music.
